Fees

We are very mindful that clients are sensitive to the subject of fees.  And, therefore, so are we.  At Meiselman, Denlea, we recognize and appreciate the importance that cost effectiveness plays in business relationships.  That is why we look at fees in two ways - what is fair to the client and what is fair to the firm.  In almost all cases, the firm has been successful in creating a fee structure comfortable for our client as well as ourselves.  There is no strict set formula we follow in creating a fee schedule, but rather a common sense approach of trying to make things fit for everyone. 

Our fees are very reasonable compared to other firms.  While other firms may seem to care more about billing, we at Meiselman, Denlea care about winning.  We do not pad our bills or use two, three or more attorneys when one is sufficient.  We use paralegals instead of attorneys when appropriate.  Our policy is to have at least one partner scrutinize every bill before it goes to the client which is why we rarely have a billing issue.  The firm has a 99.9% recovery rate on its bills which we believe is unmatched in the legal profession.  This is because Meiselman, Denlea provides a high level of service at less cost.

The firm can bill hourly or on a blended, capped or fixed annual amount payable on a  monthly basis.  There are some occasions when a contingency fee arrangement is appropriate for both the client and the firm.  All of our class action and personal injury cases are on a contingency basis.  Free consultations are available for most cases.

At Meiselman, Denlea, we believe that when it comes to fees, there should be no surprises and so we double our efforts for clarity at the very first discussion.  We welcome, not resent client inquiries regarding billing.  There is often no charge for telephone calls, copying, fax or postage depending on the fee arrangement.
